LightXtreme VPN Subscription and Refund Terms

The conditions attached to a membership, the length of each cycle, the scope of refunds and the rules around accounts are listed one by one, so the arrangement is clear before you buy. Downloading or using LightXtreme VPN means accepting these terms.

This document lays out the rights and obligations attached to a LightXtreme VPN account, covering account registration, subscription purchase, client usage and the handling of after-sales requests, and it is meant to be read once rather than skimmed endlessly. It states how a subscription is calculated, when money can be returned and which uses are not permitted. Downloading, installing or using LightXtreme VPN means you accept these terms.

1. The service explained

LightXtreme VPN provides cross-region network acceleration along with privacy protection, and it is available as clients for Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, Android TV, Apple TV and Linux as well as extensions for popular browsers, running on more than 2,200 servers distributed over 70+ countries and regions with the client listing every node you can connect to.

Free trial and plan choices

Your initial download includes a 30-minute free trial, and once that ends the service operates on a subscription basis where every plan allows a single account to be connected on 3 devices simultaneously.

Payment methods

Settlement is handled through Alipay, WeChat Pay, UnionPay, credit cards, PayPal, Google Play and Stripe, the plan begins as soon as the payment succeeds, and the exact time the funds settle depends on the payment channel involved.

2. Refund arrangements

A 30-day money-back guarantee is available, allowing a refund request from inside the client or by email within 30 days of activation, with a short description of how the service performed, after which the plan terminates, and plans that are older than 30 days or have been used in part are not refundable unless legislation demands otherwise.

Making good for outages

In the event that our own servers are responsible for a lengthy period of connection failure and the problem is reported promptly, we may extend the subscription as a form of compensation.

3. Rules for using the service

As a user you are expected to respect the legislation and the network usage policies of your jurisdiction, and the service must not be used for any unlawful activity, including but not limited to:

  • hacking into, breaking into or interfering with somebody else's network or servers, or running fraud and phishing schemes;
  • creating accounts in bulk, passing accounts around or selling them on, or letting scripts eat up trial and subscription allowances;
  • sending illegal or harmful material through the service, or stepping on other people's intellectual property, privacy and other lawful rights;
  • using the service in ways that break the rules of the platform it runs on.

For accounts that fail to meet these conditions we reserve the right to suspend service, restrict functionality or terminate the account, and where the conduct is serious we will pursue legal remedies.

4. Intellectual property

Intellectual property associated with the LightXtreme VPN client, website content, interface design, icons and word marks belongs to LightXtreme VPN and the relevant rights holders, so no part of it may be copied, modified, decompiled, redistributed or deployed commercially without written authorisation, while personal data generated through lawful use remains the property of the user.

When the product shifts

Features, node arrangements, plan prices and promotional offers may be modified from time to time, with the current version always published on this website, and any modification that influences the rights attached to a plan is announced beforehand, existing customers continuing to enjoy the previous terms for the remainder of their paid period.

Scope of our liability

Subject to what the law permits, LightXtreme VPN accepts no responsibility for connection interruptions or speed variations arising from force majeure, a carrier malfunction or a shift in local policy, and given that a VPN reroutes the traffic you transmit, a small number of websites may decline traffic originating from a VPN.
